Captain Andrew Dimitruk (USMC)

Andrew spent 10 years as an officer in the US Marine Corps, serving as a Cobra attack helicopter pilot, an operations, aircraft maintenance and communications officer.  He deployed twice to Iraq and once to Afghanistan.   During his time in Iraq and Afghanistan, Andrew conducted a variety of missions including casualty evacuation escort, helping ground troops under attack and supporting multinational special operations missions.  Andrew studied Astrophysics and European History at Vanderbilt University and grew up in London, England.  Andrew’s awards and decorations include Individual Action Air Medal, Air Medal with 12 strike flight awards, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal.  Andrew is married to his super amazing wife Jenae.

Pat (aka Pat-Dad) came to Sloan directly from serving as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, where he flew anti-submarine and surveillance planes for the last nine years (P-3’s and P-8’s, the planes in the news helping the search for Malaysia Flight MH370).  His squadrons deployed all over the world, with long detachments in Iraq, Qatar, Djibouti, Japan, and Italy.  He spent the last few years teaching new pilots to fly and working as a Navy liaison to the Boeing Company to develop the training programs for the Navy’s newest aircraft.  His awards and decorations include Air Medal (multiple awards),  Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), and the 2011 Navy-Marine Corps Peer Leadership Award. More importantly, Pat has a wonderful wife, Celie, and two young sons who love camping around New England, and spending ofcf-time on the South Shore.

Kevin is a 2006 graduate of Union College with a Political Science major and a double minor in Mandarin Chinese and East Asian Studies.  Kevin enlisted in the US Army in March 2007 and completed Special Forces training in March of 2009.  Kevin was assigned to the 1st Special Group at Fort Lewis, WA and has been deployed to the Philippines, Thailand and twice to Afghanistan.  During his second deployment to Afghanistan on September 25, 2011, Kevin sustained a gunshot wound to his lower abdomen, leaving him with permanent damage to his colon, femoral nerve and over 40 inches of scars.  On September 27, 2013 Kevin was medically retired from the US Army.  Kevin’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (two awards), Purple Heart, Army Commendation Medal with Valor, Meritorious Service Medal, Green Beret and Combat Infantrymen Badge.  Kevin has been married for over 6 years to his college sweetheart Kimberlee and they have welcomed their first child Lilah Marie, 6 months ago.
