Pat (aka Pat-Dad) came to Sloan directly from serving as a pilot in the U.S. Navy, where he flew anti-submarine and surveillance planes for the last nine years (P-3’s and P-8’s, the planes in the news helping the search for Malaysia Flight MH370). His squadrons deployed all over the world, with long detachments in Iraq, Qatar, Djibouti, Japan, and Italy. He spent the last few years teaching new pilots to fly and working as a Navy liaison to the Boeing Company to develop the training programs for the Navy’s newest aircraft. His awards and decorations include Air Medal (multiple awards), Navy Commendation Medal (two awards), and the 2011 Navy-Marine Corps Peer Leadership Award. More importantly, Pat has a wonderful wife, Celie, and two young sons who love camping around New England, and spending ofcf-time on the South Shore.
